By downloading or using the Application, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully before using the Application. You must not copy or modify the Application, any part of the Application, or our trademarks. You must not attempt to extract the source code of the Application, translate the Application into other languages, or create derivative works. All trademarks, copyrights, database rights, and other intellectual property rights related to the Application remain the property of the Service Provider.
The Service Provider is committed to keeping the Application as useful and efficient as possible. We reserve the right to make changes to the Application or to charge for certain features at any time, with any charges clearly explained before they are applied.
The Application stores and processes personal information you provide to us, such as your name, email address, age, and gender, in order to deliver the service. You are responsible for keeping your device and account access secure. We strongly advise against jailbreaking or rooting your device, as this may compromise security features and cause the Application to function incorrectly.
Third-Party Services
The Application uses trusted third-party services to provide functionality such as authentication, subscriptions, notifications, cloud storage, and analytics. These services have their own Terms and Conditions, which you should review:
- Expo
- RevenueCat
- Firebase, including Firestore, Firebase Authentication, Firebase Functions, Firebase Storage, and Firebase Cloud Messaging
- Google Sign-In
- Apple Sign-In
- Expo Notifications
- OneSignal
These services may process data on our behalf in order to provide features such as authentication, push notifications, subscription management, analytics, and cloud storage.
OneSignal may also be used to send marketing emails and related service communications.
Using the Application
Some functions of the Application require an active internet connection. The Service Provider is not responsible if certain features do not work due to lack of internet access, low connectivity, or if you have reached your data allowance. If you are using the Application outside of a Wi-Fi network, you are responsible for any charges from your mobile network provider, including roaming charges.
You are responsible for ensuring that your device remains charged and operational. The Service Provider cannot be held responsible for any interruption caused by your device running out of battery or becoming unavailable.
While we make every effort to keep the content in the Application accurate and up-to-date, we rely on certain third-party services and sources of information. We cannot be held liable for any loss, direct or indirect, that results from relying solely on the Application's content or functionality.
Subscriptions and Billing
Explorer subscriptions are billed via in-app purchases through the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android) and managed by your respective app store account. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription at any time through your app store settings. Downgrading from Explorer to Starter will lock previously unlocked stories, but upgrading back will restore them.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play Store account settings.
Notifications
The Application may send you push notifications about new stories, series announcements, personalized content recommendations, special promotions, and important account-related information through Expo Notifications and Firebase Cloud Messaging. You can manage your notification preferences in your device settings and within the Application's settings. If you use the Application on multiple devices, notification preferences can be controlled independently for each device.
The Application may also send marketing emails through OneSignal. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in those emails.
If enabled, the Application may also schedule local daily reminder notifications on your device based on your chosen reminder time.
Updates and Termination
We may update the Application periodically to add new features, improve performance, or address technical issues. You agree to install any updates provided to continue using the Application. We may also stop providing the Application at any time and may terminate its use without prior notice. Upon termination, your rights to use the Application will end, and you must delete it from your device.
Changes to These Terms and Conditions
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page regularly. Continued use of the Application after changes indicates your acceptance of the updated terms.
